*March food theme was thought up at our Thursday night brunch a couple of months ago. (Blame Sir Stan, not me)

It will be Irish Food in honor of St. Patrick’s day. So wear something green, and bring some good old Irish food.

Look, there is more to Irish food then Corned beef and cabbage. There is whiskey. And potatoes. And then of course there is, well, potatoes. And of course beef stew with barley and, well, potatoes. And of course there is Bailey’s Irish cream. And there are always, well, potatoes.

ok, here’s the deal. For not much money at all, they have green food coloring at any grocery store. That means you can have green chili, or green burgers, or green cheese burgers, or green nachos.

Come on, I am dying here. I never do Irish food and i hardly drink. My idea of Irish food is green M and M’s. So i need help with this. I will need help for April too, cause that is Health food month. (yea yea, we have to let those damn yankees have one night a year, but at least I know i can count on them to help out with what to make)

so someone with good ideas for Irish food, jump in and help out. I will post to that great food group on FetLife and they will help. But start thinking of it, so March can be another great month of SAF food.

And by the way, thanks to all of you for the food on this past Saturday night. We had some awesome stuff, and it keeps getting better

It has been too long and it is time to get those boots and tight jeans out and join us for a night of C&W dancing. It was in 2009 and that is too long. February 2010 SAF 3rd Saturday Party

I thought it would never get here….but it is finally time. The SAF 3rd Saturday party is only a week away. First we have a demo on branding and the doors will open at 7:30 with the demo from 8:00-9:00 with Lady Shivers and the party to follow. We are also celebrating 2 years of SAF parties and want you to join us in the festivities. Our food theme is cajun foods in celebration of Mardi Gras. Our dress theme for this party is “Mens Shirts” be creative and fun with the theme. We do request a donation of 20.00 at the door to help with necessities. Kinky Camping March 2010

Come one, come all!! Well, its that time of year again folks. Time for our annual campout here in the woods. Fischen and myself are happy to once again offer up our home and woods for the kinky convenience to our friends in the lifestyle. This will be our third year for this tradition and we can’t be more excited. Already, we have had many many inquiries as too when it will be and now have the official dates!!! It will be held on the last weekend of March (the 26th-28th). Games are planned, including our very own special subbie hunt that we have every year (I have yet to be found). We also have many play stations set up outside and inside as well. We will have plenty of room for tents and will also have indoor accommodations. Invitations will be sent out but we will also have an open invitation set up for new people and friends we accidentally overlook. Lets face it, our family is really large and it grows by the day. There will be no cost, Although you will be required to provide your own food and drink for the entire weekend and your own coolers to store it. Rent The SAF Dungeon

Valentines is around the corner and did you know you can rent the SAF dungeon? Why go to a hotel when you have access to a full dungeon. I am not much into cooking but you could have breakfast down the street at Dennys, so next best thing to a bed and breakfast. I have the cage under the stairs if you need to use it and the full access to the upstairs. What about small private parties? You can also rent the dungeon for this. February 2010 Happenings

How time flies… Please mark your calendars for our first event. We will have our first Wed. discussion group here at the SAF dungeon. Missy will be the moderator and will post more about the topic. Please come share your experience, ideas and opinions on the topic. We will begin at 8:00 and wrap up around 10:00. Please byob and bring a light snack to share. We had a great turn out for our January discussion group and hope to see you at this months.

Next is our Passion party, if you dont know about it and want to find out more, now is the time to inquire. It will be on Feb.6th. Of course our munches and the 3rd Saturday SAF party. I think that is all that is scheduled for SAF except for the LUEY weekend.

February 2010 – Wednesday Discussion Night

Our next discussion night will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 8:00 pm in the SAF dungeon. The topic will be “How to Choose an Appropriate Partner in the BDSM Lifestyle, For Just One Play Session or For a Lifetime”.

I want to encourage attendance of those with experience to share, those who want to improve on their technique, and those doing this for the first time who want to avoid the potential mistakes and pitfalls that most all of us have faced. Start time for the discussion will be 8:00 pm. Bring your beverage of choice and a snack to share if you wish. I will be posting an assignment tomorrow for attendees to work on during this week prior to the discussion. Looking forward to seeing you there!

SAF January 2010 Party

It is that time again, oh how time flies. It is our Jan. SAF party on 1-16-10. It has been pretty cold lately and it is time to warm up. Our demo beginning at 8:00 will be with Tim on fire play. Through the night you will have an opportunity to try fire play from either side rather you are a giver or a receiver. The food theme is tailgate food…yummy and Travis will tell you a little more about that. Ron will be here vending so if you would like to add to your toy bag go up and see him. We have missed some of our older (not age) members and hope to see you this month.

We do ask you to park at the Dennys and will have a shuttle back and forth from the party. My daughter has volunteered to help so if you would like you are more then welcome to tip the driver Because of this, it will free up everyone to shuttle duty. Please call 832-797-0304 for a ride.

This is the same day as the Journey event and will hopefully have a few new guests and returning friends. I will need volunteers to do door greeting. One hour of volunteer work really helps. We do request a tribute of 20.00 at the door with a 5.00 discount for food and a 5.00 discount if you volunteer and hour of DM or door greeter. Changes… I need to try and get shuttle drivers for this Saturday. We can take shifts or as it has been suggested one person can be available once for a complete party one time a year. time for one last refresher on this month’s party. It happens this coming Saturday night, Jan 16th. (the 16th day of my fast if you have not been keeping count)

the food theme is all about football and football foods. It is “Tailgating Party” and you can bring all the tailgating foods you can think of. Hamburgers, taco’s, nachos, hot dogs, pizza, chips and dips, or you can branch out like the serious tailgaters and bring something more exotic.

My food is going to be brats, made the good old Wisconsin way. (ok, my version of the good old Wisconsin way). I got so hooked on brats on my trips to Wisconsin, so i am going to make them here. Damn it, though, you guys have to eat them all. Will still have 5 more days of fasting left so i will just get to ogle the foods everyone brings.

1-6-09 Wed. Discussion group 8:00-10:00 “Show me yours and I will show you mine” Let’s see what is in your toy bag, sure to get some evil ideas from your friends and a nice laid back time to get to know one another.

1-14-09 Our Thursday munch and I am sure Missy will post to give you more information. It is a nice relaxed night out and another great way to get to know other SAF members.

1-16-09 Our 3rd Saturday SAF party and we are having a demo beginning at 8:00 on fire play with Tim. This will be a great educational event and you will have an opportunity through the night to try fire play yourself with mentors available. Travis will let us know what the food theme is and I am sure he will be plenty hungry by then so it should be a good one.

1-23-09 Subbie sleep over…just what it says…subbies only no Tops allowed (I guess Domme Caroline will be staying the night elsewhere). this is put on by our very own celli and is a great opportunity to chat with other subbies. We do ask you to bring 5.00 cause we are ordering pizza and bring a soda and snack to share. Something comfortable to sleep in, pillows blankets etc.

SAF December ’09 Party

xmasbdsm HO HO HO it’s off to the SAF Dungeon we go. The RSVP is now open for the December SAF party. Doors will open at 8:00 and our Christmas gift exchange will begin at 9:00. Sadena will be heading up the gift exchange and it is sure to be alot of fun.

We will need volunteers to help with door greeting and shuttle service. Please sign up to help or shoot me an email telling me your prefered time and how you would like to help. The driveway will be open for those who help with the shuttle. All others please park at the Dennys.

Our food theme is “foods to warm you up” so be creative and bring something yummy. The requested tribute is 20.00 with a 5.00 discount for food and or another discount of 5.00 if you volunteer to help. It really makes a difference in continuing the SAF parties if we have volunteers and for this I thank you.

SAF November (as in Thanksgiving ) party

kinkyturkey Rumor is that the worlds most famous and clearly the worlds best maker of Thanksgiving Turkey dressing will be in attendance with his special Jalapeno Cornbread Turkey dressing. Known universally as the finest Thanksgiving side dish and prepared by this very handsome, young, hot stud, you will fall in love with this dressing. (ok, part of the above paragraph is true, you get to decide what)

So that means you guys get to bring the SECOND best Thanksgivng side dish, cause my dressing wins the first place award. (Hey i am the judge, whine whine whine. Take it up with someone that cares)

yes our food theme is Thanksgiving side dishes. Bring your favorite. Bring what your Momma made you love. What made that meal so special for you. We will have a Turkey and a ham, you bring the dressing, potatoes, corn, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, fruit salad, bourbon pecan chocolate pie, green bean (yuk) casserole, or organic lettuce. Whatever you LOVE. If you love it, someone else will love it to.

We have become a family that plays together. (rather well I do believe). Lets become that family that feasts together as well. TRF – Renfest trip 11/13-11/15 Coming up!

We are two weeks away from our SAF Invasion of Renfest, aka Black and Blue Bondage Camp.

Here is a rundown of what is going on so far. Suzi will add anything if I’ve left it out.

Dates: November 13th – 15th. – This is a come and go event. You can camp out the entire weekend or just visit faire and hangout at night and enjoy good company.

Suzi will be arriving first thing in the morning to pick a spot and start getting some initial things set up. Because camping out there is a first come, first stake situation, we do not have an exact location to post yet. After Suzi gets the location secured, she’ll be sending out a notification of where we will be. I won’t be getting there until afternoon. Anyone who wants to get there to help Suzi is more than welcomed!  If you need more specific information (especially if your new to camping at renfest, email me or Suzi privately and we’ll give you our contact numbers)

This is a camping trip. For those who will be camping, please bring all your necessary camping provisions. Tent, blankets, folding chairs, ice chests, etc.

This is not a food sponsored event. It’s very much bring your own food, bring your own beverage. I will have a smoker and anyone is welcome to use it if you want to grill any meats (as long as the charcoal holds out, otherwise, bring that too). I also have a double burner camp stove. If you expect to eat, bring food. yes, food/drink is for sale inside the faire, but this is more specific to the night time.

Dress for comfort, dress for the cold with the expectation that the temperature will fluctuate through the weekend. If you’re a rennie and an old pro, you know what to do. If you’re new to the entire thing, then dress for a possible cold front. Otherwise, you can strip down to your skivvies if you want to.

And on that note, we will be in public for the most part. There are security guards walking around the most heavily populated areas (such as the drum circle). We have to remain clothed if we go on a walk-about. Suzi will have a couple of play stations set up as well. Cover your bum, cover your naughties and so forth. Drinking is allowed, but beware that there is security around. Drunk and disorderly conduct means you will be removed from the camp. And because we are a good group who likes to keep things on the down-low, we’ll probably claim not to know you. If you plan on smoking something stronger than a Marlboro Red I suggest that to keep everyone safe you do it outside of the camping grounds…the security are very forgiving with our kinky ways but they frown on illegal things going on…if you are going to risk getting into trouble like that then please do it outside of camp

If you arrive on Friday, you have to show proof that you have tickets to the faire in order to camp. Camping is $20 per vehicle.

Portapotties will be set up. Bring your own toilet paper.

This will be a fun time, happy time and mellow time. Meaning, Drama Free Zone! You have about 50 acres to camp out on. If you don’t like someone, don’t stake your tent next to them.

So dress up like the folks you most love to be afraid of when the lights are dark and the idea of SSC or RACK is not your God given right. When DM does NOT stand for someone to protect you. (hey, prize for the best idea for what DM stands for on Halloween). When Doms are not consensual, when collars are not a fashion statement, marks mean more then ” I love you”, and submissive may well mean more then you asked for.

Candy FOOD– Well the weather just turned Fall. (OK, the calender turned Fall a while back, but the weather finally caught up).

So Fall food it is– Cornbread and chili works for me. What makes a brisk fall night meal great for you? Beef Stew anyone? For you salad lovers, what salads are good for a cool night of play and fun and social time with your friends. Nachos, yea, nachos. Beef nachos, chicken nachos, just plain nachos. King ranch chicken? Enchiladas, tamales, BBQ??? All your favorite casseroles.

DESSERTS– you got it. Pumpkin pie. Pecan Pie. Chocolate Pie. Chocolates. Bourbon Pecan pie. Any of them. Cinnamon buns, tell me that would not work. (those little fast food hot apple pies would really be great).

Come on, you know what i mean. FOOD. REAL FOOD. Bring something to make the people go, “I want that recipe”. Great food. If you bring chips and dips, make it great chips and dips, worthy of the Super Bowl of Serial Killers.

AND someone bring a fucking head of organic lettuce. Never know who will show up.

ALCOHOL is allowed. Great Halloween drinks are really welcome. We will have a great theme punch. (yea yea, Mistress Karen is working on that right now. She is supposed to be studying her school work, but she is studying alcohol right now). We trust you guys to drink responsible, but NO ONE DRIVES DRUNK. So if you over indulge, we own your keys.

Remember the SAF Parking rules. If you need them, ask and we will send them to you.
